2012 surprised Dead Can Dance after a long absence with a new album, which very well fits into the "classic" catalog of the band. The first part of belonging to that album concert tour will be presented to worthy "In Concert". In addition to the CD, there is fortunately a splendid 3-LP box (incl. Voucher to download the album). The presentation is rather simple, but nice (maybe except for the cover?). Slightly more pictures would have authorized to be sure, but one learns all of the most Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry accompanying musicians. The quality of the title needs no further consideration certainly, but "The Host Of Seraphim" is worth buying the album. The album was well-composed of several concerts, there is not a "continuous" live album. That bothers but surprisingly little, I even think it is the performances rather good. As with DCD usually obtained here a healthy mix of old (ie known) pieces, songs from the current album and so far (?) Unreleased material. The vinyl version pleased with 180g pressings and of course sublime feel of a medium which will obviously survive all the trials of heavy industry despite the "CD".
