The WC58B is a powerful large glass block. The optical viewfinder and the internal flash can forget when that thing on the G9 depends.

On the other hand offers a thing for a converter fairly decent image quality. The lens is available throughout the entire zoom range.
The (in converters inevitable) aberrations (distortion and magenta seams at high contrast) decrease with increasing focal length continuously.

For me G9 + WW-Converter is a good solution. At events where I need the short focal length (but between times a lightweight telephoto) I can just leave the lens on the camera and does not have to constantly remodel. And if I want to have slender trunks, then the pouch stays at home with the accessories.
