-> Idle (idle): 55 Watts
-> / Internet navigation: the PC consumes 60 to 75 W with a few brief peaks at 105/120 and 150 very rare.
-> In charge @ 3.9 GHz (Turbo Boost): ca can rise to 249 by the time.
-> OC @ 4.4 GHz: 350 Watts under stress tool with Intel "Extreme Tuning Utility" - 69 watts in idle

So a machine devoid of energy graphics card that allows me to run - in absolute silence - a dozen virtual machines simultaneously without blinking and both an efficient pc for internet browsing and common tasks. All in extremely fluid 1920x1200 with aero Windows 7. I hope not change before a decade. I have not tested the game but it seems possible. cf. Google.
With particular --------------------------- -------------------- ----------
- 32 GB of RAM 1600
- A motherboard that uses the onboard graphics chip in the processor
- Two HyperX SSDs in RAID 0.
- An absolutely inaudible PSU: Bequiet! Straight Power E9-CM-480W (80+ certified, which should help lower the conso)
- A cooler Bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 which a fan has been removed (120)
-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------
Listed perfs, I tried overclocking with a coefficient 43 (Gigabyte Z87X-D3H) but I did not notice improvement with a load of 10 virtual machines. I think it is especially good for benchs, gamers, victims of marketing in search of better pouillèmes OR those who need the most powerful to be happy. (A godsend for manufacturers and industry who plunder the planet ...) :-) And the conso flies additional 100 watt ..... Or even a total charge of 500 to 700 or more with the suitable graphics cards that usually come with it.
(By the way, prefer the Hibernate or complete Judgement pc which are the only two modes in which the PC does not consume when turned off. The simple screen consumes a few watts continuously, even when the PC seems you off)
