The film and television critic Robb knows his craft. This little guide to the Star Trek world is a beautiful plant for beginners and fans. Well written, readable and understandable, he brings us the story of Star Trek closer. It begins with a detailed description of the biography of G. Roddenberry and then proceeds chronologically to the latest film from JJ Abrams. Robb, the emergence of STAR TREK always in a time frame with the historical or sociological framework and endeavors to explain as to why there were successes or failures. He saves us lengthy summaries of episodes or movies. Where it is necessary, he says roughly the content. Robb is equally clear in its assessment and in his criticism. Whether one agrees with it then remains to be seen, intelligent and knowledgeable, it is all. (Who of English is not so powerful, should wait for the German edition.)
