I wanted to have a cell phone, which still is reasonably fast and handy enough memory has. It shall devour not exactly a "half" monthly salary.
Spontaneously, I saw the One V, reviewed the data sheets and thought ok I order times, Amazon is indeed a return no problem. Since 4 weeks now I've been using it with the following impressions:
Difference changes from the salsa:
* The screen resolution is now 480 x 800 pixels instead of 320x480.
* The processing power increased from 800 MHz to 1 GHz
* A GPU is supposed to be on board ...
* Memory is still 512MB
Can be * The ROM increased to 4 Gbyte of which 1 Gbyte for apps used

* 9mm thickness 1 cm, the One V is slimmer, bigger with 120mm length.
* The One V with 115 g in weight is even 5 grams lighter
* Improved camera lens and image processor chip
The black sleek design of the phone is quite basic, no frills, but still chic. It can be grasped quite safely through the large angled thumb rest. The cover for the Micro-SD & SIM card is not 100% fit. The battery does not seem to be readily replaceable ...
The decor was very easy once again and the existing Googelkonto and the apps already purchased are set afloat. Operation is intuitive, as usual by earlier Androidversionen.
I've noticed that now even 5 desktops are "only" available. That should be enough, as can be now summarized individual apps in folder icons. There is now a Speed Dial feature that fades all running applications. For some apps, I noticed that they are not done for Android 4. My old favorite background fell initially from (later app update fixed the problem) or are missing, "apparently" menu items (eg WhatsApp) as the mobile phone has no additional menu button more (now that takes the lower right soft touch key - press and hold)
The voice quality during the call again is good and even the Bluetooth connection in the car was quite simple.
The display is really not much sharper and more brilliant than the salsa. The reaction of Touches is smooth and similar to the Desire models. Even now all the animations and also the live desktop backgrounds run very smoothly. The 2 finger zoom option is soft and supple. Images scroll delay, vertical and horizontal changes when rotating the phone are very fast. On the screen customized videos (converted) running quite fast. The whole device is consistently fast. The restart boot process but takes time.
For techies:
In Android test "Linpack" there is the HTC-One 34.3 / 30.0 MFlops (Singel / multi).
9.7 MFlops there were salsa and 2.2 at Wildfire, the Wildfire S was approximately 7.0.
In Nenamark-1, there are now 53.4 frames, 29 frames, it was the salsa.
Incidentally, the battery is 1500 mA and lasts me 1-2 days depending on use, then it must to the power connector. (The usual nowadays)
A front camera, there is no longer, well, so far I did not have any application which could transpose correctly. In future it will be but certainly more interesting with front camera. Normal Cam has 5 Mpixel.
About cameras is indeed generally scolded a lot of mobile phones, of course, one must not expect too much, the lens is tiny and the light also. But for bright daylight, I found the HTC Salsa already ok and also the One makes it even better shots. So for Facebook, among others, it is sufficient loose and also the odd sunny snapshot can occasionally serve even for the photo album. Amazing that you can snap photos at the same time during a video recording. Selectable filter change live recording. HDR images are also possible and from an application running on the mobile phone film - or video playback can be "photographed" frames out ...
Yes, the sound ..., ok, there was actually a slight "buzzing chirping", which could be heard at the start or in soft passages of a title, much like earlier the noise of a cassette in quiet passages. It was not in every song of the same intensity. I have several MP3 files compared (kbit / s) but then found no real reason. Possibly sorted out the electronic circuit the input level wrong ...? During normal ausgesteuertem title run was no longer heard, and there were several dynamic filters (Sound Enhancement) again gave the very good sound.
This "chirping Fiep problem" was now fixed with the System Update "2.08.401.2"! For all disappeared dynamic filters, except Beats Audio. In addition, the sound dynamics significantly Beats audio increases. I now use a different media player app with EQ function. The sound is fine with me. The enclosed hard headphones I've replaced with softer in-ear headphones.
Basic conclusion:
The One V is fun again, the speed and optics and haptics is managed and compared to the HTC Salsa a significant step ahead. It is a fast phone with latest operating system and all the functions that I need. Finally HTC has learned and the app store is large enough - has 1 Gbyte. In addition, you can outsource as before on the Micro SD necessary much. After 25 Apps in addition installed, I have 800 MB free app store. My salsa was there for a long time at the end.
The price for this still reasonably handy phone for what is on offer I think is very cheap. So must be. The downstream devices One X and S are safe fancier, much bigger and much faster (dual and quad core), but also much more expensive and if you really need the right enormous size and many Core's for the usual mobile phone functions (?), Is possibly the interesting and important for gamers.
Unfortunately, the One V no micro SD was there. For the not quite 100% fitting lid and the small "Zwitschergeräusch" the sound (before the update), there is some criticism with point deduction.
The battery is apparently no longer exchanged what with my phone while wearing bother me less, but I think the trend observed somewhat questionable, the battery is broken, it will be expensive.
For some, not quite perfect running apps from earlier Androidversionen one must have some understanding, here surely come soon updates or new versions of the same.
Otherwise, a recommendable smartphone at a high level, especially for beginners / transfer passengers. I would 4 price / performance star (like me) awarded.
