Now for the downsides (in video documents):
- The first camera produced a rattling noise during road bumps. Sometimes (not always) they started in USB mode and then also did not take on before I had started it again. Exchange. (Congratulations to Amazon that even losschickten the replacement before the return was received.)
- The second camera rattled even at engine idle. According to the reviews here which is probably due to a loose lens that vibrates even the smallest vibrations in the housing. In addition, the display during automatic start every now and then was flickering green. The holder (long suction cup lever) and the cigarette lighter plug (chunky) looked different than in the first and third delivery. Return (since only one conversion result is possible).
- The third camera will no rattles. For the light sensor is extremely sensitive. With sudden brightness, the image is almost black before it is highly regulated again. And again sometimes works the automatic start does not correct. This is probably because that the current flow of the cigarette lighter collapses shortly when I press the starter. That can not compensate the camera apparently.
The bracket can not quite convince, although it holds bombproof. The webs are so short and the margin is so limited that we can not manage to get close enough to the disk, the lens of the camera. Result: All reflections are included. A smaller alternative-holder (3M PASTER Winshied externally ordered) unfortunately has the same problem, reduced by the thick adhesive surface but vibrations and looks much less conspicuous, which is why it is in my opinion the better choice. The battery lasts without electricity by about 60 minutes. The remote I have not yet tested. The included software displays in every movie recorded the exact distance and position on the PC (but jerky picture a bit).
Now I'm considering whether I should change the third camera also, possibly. I write the Fa. Rollei directly. I'm afraid, then I get back a copy with vibrating lens. It annoys me that a company with a worldwide reputation produces as much rejects and it obviously is a matter of luck to get a working in all aspects dashcam. If you caught a perfect copy, the Rollei Car DVR-110 is worth a buy recommendation. If you are unlucky, may have to have a lot of patience and repeatedly exchange, until he is satisfied.
