As for processing, I can, unlike some reviewers here, do not complain. Sure, the smooth plastic does not feel particularly wertig, but at least the unit is solid, not creaks and you can see on the back of fingerprints. Otherwise there with small gaps or similar no abnormalities in my device.
A bit of getting used to: the touch-sensitive Windows button in the center of the lower edge of the display, this is a bit sluggish and only responds when you press a little harder and it applies exactly. In my opinion, not so bad, because with regard to the position, he can be reached by the size of the tablets anyway bad and if you can sweep with the thumb on the right side of the screen inside, opens the Charms Bar with a Windows button, the good is reached and always works.
Mozilla Firefox is not designed to Convertibles. The following problem: to use the device as a tablet, you need the on-screen keyboard, use the Tastaturdock, this is unnecessary and should not be opened. This works in all apps excellent, just not in Mozilla Firefox, here is the onscreen keyboard does not open and that is you have to dial it manually and close by entering again. Sounds may not be bad, but is in use in the long term very annoying; same problem, incidentally, when Internet Explorer. Only Google Chrome understands how that should work all, so I'm switched to Chrome.
Last gripe: The Tastaturdock. Although the keyboard works surprisingly well, it taps her like a normal laptop, and the speaker on the back makes the sound experience again better than it already is, but the connection with the dock is such a thing, because the connection between display and Dock is not the most stable. you have the device stand on a table and dock it to the keyboard, which is never a problem, on the couch or a bed, it is, however, less recommendable, since the device loses the connection to the dock on the move rather quickly. Magnetic guide lugs, the drive into the device, like other manufacturers obstruct it would probably make here for a more secure connection and an easier docking. However, those who play on de bed with the tablet and use the keyboard for office work at the desk, will not come up against problems.
Finally, now a few details that I like particularly well:
- An office full version is on board
- A real POWER SUPPLY is, the device does not have to spend hours like other manufacturers are loaded via USB
- An optional charging via the mini-USB port is still possible, therefore, to charge with any standard mobile phone charger
- The memory can be expanded using micro SD
- Two full USB ports are in the dock included => a mouse and a USB flash drive is simultaneously connect no problem
+++++++++ Update +++++++++
After a few weeks use me more defects are noticed:
- Windows - button on the unit suffers from under by right dropouts
- In Tastaturdock connected the mouse sometimes does not work anymore; either the mouse pointer is not displayed correctly or it will be displayed, but you can click on anything
-For Complex applications, the device is sometimes very warm in the lower left corner, which is quite uncomfortable in use
- The speakers often tend to loud crackle with video or music playback. That would not be so bad, but after what has now happened, I will return the entire unit: After a sudden loud crackling of the loudspeakers, the housing has become heated to the point at which the speakers are installed at a time and a strong glue-like odor was heard. Although the unit worked perfectly again after, but it was enough to me now! The device is virtually new and has already dropouts, I want a product that I can rely on.
Finally I can say is the concept in my eyes still interesting. The device is specifically preferably tablet and laptop less than many other convertibles, but I was looking for a tablet with a keyboard, which is exactly what I wanted. As the quality, however, is not true, I can currently not suggest that.
