First of all the external impression:
The bench grinder has a decent weight, he also needs to compensate for the vibrations. Through the rubber feet works very well because my workbench hardly needs to intercept vibrations.
The power cord is long enough and reasonably flexible. In sub-zero temperatures in the unheated outdoor workshop somewhat rigid.
Structure:
Unfortunately, there is a description, which screw, washer, nut, which should closely. As an ambitious handyman you can but the work itself and the construction is done in under 10 minutes.
The rest of the disc is up. Have 2mm spacing, so I'm going to raise anything else, because I shoot a lot of sparks forward.
Use:
First off my goggles are catching up (double protection) and headphones.
The rest of the disc can be adjusted without tools. The privacy screen above while rotating, adjusting the metal plate at the housing is only possible with a screwdriver and pliers.
After turning the wheels turning in a few seconds on full speed (not adjustable). After switching off the machine, the wheels rotate even after a very long time, because there is no brake.
Grinding:
This is the first time that I grind metal on a bench grinder. By 2 different disks, you can only roughly, then grind fine. This worked already at the first time for me with a satisfactory result. I will later also with my lawnmower blades try my luck. Will work out :)
Also, one should always be very careful in the sparks that fly, sometimes significantly through the area.
Bench grinder:
Unfortunately, always turn both disks because there is only one on-off switch. This must always be a little careful with his arms, so that one does not drag his elbow. There is also no protective cover for the disc unused.
Conclusion:
For a current price of 60 euros you get a good bench grinder of the brand Einhell with good quality. Rest and privacy are easily adjustable. Little transmitting vibrations on the table.
Only that getting both wheels rotate, tarnishes somewhat the overall picture, by 4 stars.
