Well made and easy to access (just connect the hard drive and run by copy / paste) this Samsung drive is what is asked even if the transfer speed is not extraordinary. (It remains in the middle of all the hard drives that range) The supposed area "anti-slip" is more gimmick than anything else.
Its only flaw is the fact that the USB cable is very short!
Regarding life, I've had too little time to judge but considering the reliability of Samsung in the field, I'm honestly not worried.
In short, greater ease of access to this hard drive whose price is also very attractive.
