The Russell Hobbs Desire mini chopper comes visually very chic therefore. For that the device is nice and compact and can be also well stored in any kitchen. In addition it also makes a high impression. I like it very well that the container is made of glass - thus the crusher is robust, has a pleasant heaviness and not slip so easily.
The handling is also simple: cut bigger things slightly smaller, lid and motor unit on it, push plug into the socket and the little buttons. Even the machine crushed the content.
Only things are crushed, which can be broken up easily with a knife - say for nuts, etc. The device is not suitable. In addition, should the "cubes" that come into the device, no bigger than 18mm be (I have my things frankly not measured but simply worked by feel - the unit is finally making work easier and is not intended to do about it even more stressful ).
The result is neat. If it must go fast times, I would reach for the device - and chopping onions, it saves me the watery eyes ... a big plus ;-)
All parts - except for the motor unit - can also be cleaned in a dishwasher, a further point in terms of convenience.
Also in preparation for the device is well suited because it covers crushed food using the enclosed cover and can store in the fridge for example.
Overall, a good device - but there are similar devices in the same price range that can do more. For Example four knives (Kenwood CH 580 Quad Blade Cutters four blade system 450 Watt) or a small "spin function" have to dry eg herbs (Fissler 105 100 062 Finecut vegetable / fruit shredder). Therefore, "only" 4 stars.
