Good solution, but output level too low

I bought this little device to smart.tv feed the audio output of my Philips via TOSlink into the analog audio system. So far everything is working ok, it can even be parallel to the sound through the TV play. The volume control on the TV (or mute) affects only the sound from the TV speakers; so you can if you want to spend the sound only on TV, only on the audio system or both. Super.

However, I have almost full turn up my audio system. This is annoying and dangerous if someone then switches to another audio source without first turn down the volume control on the amplifier again.

So I wonder why almost all other five points awarded, they do not have the problem? I'd also like to give full points ...;

OK, I have another audio source (Computer) now turned down the extent that the level is roughly equivalent to that of the converter, then can live with the problem. Only can the level of other equipment that might also still want to the amplifier, may not be as easy runterregeln. So that's certainly a weakness of the otherwise very good box.
