Had the Nikon D5100, the Nikon D5300 and was not so impressed by both. Image noise is compared between the Nikon D5x00 and the Nikon D7100, to see at least in the recordings of the D7100 my opinion and has also ultimately provided the impetus, to set me a Nikon D7100. I've tried in the range of ISO 800 to 1250 all three cameras. Here is the Nikon D7100, the camera that performed best. I have 17-50 mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM lens photographed recently in a dance with the Nikon D7100 without flash and the Sigma. I'm from the low noise performance (ISO values were 1250-3200!) Of the camera hooked. The recording quality of DSLR in this segment (here at Nikon) can not be beat. Unfortunately, I have to compare annexed only architecture and landscapes to offer, since the events people are in the pictures, I do not want to publish here.
Update: 17/05/2015 I have the camera now tried extensively and am with the results more than happy. The view through the viewfinder is compared to the Nikon D5x00- series a world of difference (at the Nikon D7100 = 100% frame coverage, and the Nikon D5x00 = 95% frame coverage). The menu structure is the one who has been photographed with Nikon DSLRs, very similar. The battery life is great, here I have made with a charge about 1000 images. You notice immediately with this camera, the operator super and the autofocus is better or even the feel is a huge difference. The larger case is also much better in the hand. It makes super sharp images - so my recommendation is again underpinned!
