Personally, I get along very well with the Archos. He opens up completely by himself and by the key-touch screen combination really easy to use. Books you get problems on almost every online retailer and the PDFs can be displayed easily. The brightness is sufficient even at very sunny days, as long as you do not let the sun shine directly on the screen. At night, however, you can reduce the brightness of the display on a very eye-friendly minimum.
Too bad also I find the already mentioned cross-setting. Namely that the page no longer rotates by itself to 90 ° can be set on the device, but it is a pity that the display so forcibly in landscape mode instead of portrait orientation. This bother me so much the misplaced keys, but rather the wrong aspect ratio compared to a book.
After about 2 months use I can say: Until now holds the Archos what it promises. The running time is absolutely sufficient, the speed is super (in some other eBook readers one can Kaffeee cook until the next page is open ....), the books are easily worried and otherwise he waits with enough extras and frills on to a pass the time.
For the price absolutely great!
