The safety gate is very well made and the wood is untreated and nice and smooth, so I'm not afraid that my daughter might splinter or similar abbekommt (when they turn rumzerrt with hands .. or even better: Just have a look bites and turn rumgnubbelt).
The opening can be, in fact, very well operated with one hand. The bolt can be pushed easily with your thumb forward, while then with the rest of the hand grips below, the grid easily lifts upwards.
The installation was also not a problem. We did it once installed on a normal doorway to the living room for testing and had no problems. Then my husband has the grid but extends left and right with wood and some kind of fence built with door to delineate a large games corner for our little girl.
We have by the company Safety 1st and the safety gate No. 35,023,741 -. Quickclose in white.
This door fit better in the white doorway to our kitchen, but has a completely different lock. Also easy to use, but I have to say that the system of this door here - the Easy Close Wood 24040100 - somehow acts as the survival time would simply last longer. The other door makes sometimes a little bit the impression that we could eventually get into trouble and as if the castle no longer engage really (maybe we make the door always peppy too ... with a strong stubs can be the fact of its own accord let slam).
So I would - I had to choose a door - again for this model here decide, if brown wood as fits to the apartment. The door looks just beautiful and high-quality, I guess, the locking system is that of the other grid also survive.
I would recommend the safety gate and so we are very satisfied.
