Giga Blue met expectations. The other units were mostly at several hundred euros or less functional. Many receivers true, in my opinion, the price / performance ratio not. However, I had at the beginning of the same, the device flash because after a SW update the entire unit equal to no more. If the USB stick "suitable" (FAT32 and faster drive necessary) been, that would have been not so bad. So I had to sacrifice but just a few hours. As apparently the company (read on the internet), upholds warranty despite flash, I was also married.
After flashing the device was actually good and better established than ever.
I wrote to the support. Here you get true answer however rudimentary.
Many settings you had to try and find out.
The integration into the network was "relative" feasible and works quite well. However, I have only connected by cable.
It's great the Android app VU is here you can can control the entire device via Android, schedule recordings and even can watch TV about.
Conclusion:
Great machine, great options, but you have already become familiar with this type devices. That's how PC set up (but not as nice graphically!) And also connected to effort. After that, however, you do not have the normal equipment a very rich environment.The.
Picture quality is great. We are seeing more SD than HD. Network recording and streaming work great. I can now view images in the home network via wifi with Tablet / PC or in the future with a second device. In addition, I can always connect times larger hard drives. Speed is sufficient. Configuration: Medion NAS, Giga Blue Quad, 100Mbit network, WLAN with Android devices / Win7.
I highly recommend this unit at any time. WLAN integration I have not done.
Basically, you have something so "play around" to dominate the device.
