The Corsair 350D was ultimately even more compact than we thought and will with the dimensions quickly next to the TV space, much bigger than a good bookshelf speakers it is not namely. Also, it weighs very little compared to the 600T. The housing itself is high quality and provides with the brushed aluminum front in matt finish a successful appearance. All parts are Passignano and have no obvious gaps on. The 600T was there nor his problem areas and also the plastic worked here not as high as the simple, black-painted sheet metal of the 350D. However, the new housing is not so uncompromisingly designed for tool-free installation. The sides are screwed here, the 3.5 "cage can not be quite so easy to remove and for the PCI slots there only thumbscrews. But that is hardly noticeable.
The functionality is like Corsair usual very good. Drives (HDD, SSD, ODD) to be pushed, and pushed on a slide in the hang. The front cover is removable by a pressure mechanism. The dust filter (front and power supply) taken out quickly and for fans of 120-140mm all holes are Passig available. In terms of cable management, there is enough storage space on the back for a clean installation. Eyelets for cable ties are available as well as numerous rubber grommets.
For the fans, there are the usual. The standard fan Corsair maximum useful, but since it suffers almost any other case also. Unfortunately doesn't install models of the AF series, a pity. I have removed the SSD cage for a good airflow, and the SSD pushed into the 3.5-inch suspension (holes and screws for fixing are available). With a fan controller and a full configuration to BeQuiet fans the cooling capacity and volume is set to the 600T in nothing. With my speed settings I hear humming in Idle only the HDD. Specific values I spare me to sprinkle a cooling pipe and temperatures of individual components (CPU cooler / graphics card) and secondly the very true genome numbers differently at every turn. As I have already written, the whole thing is the large volume 600T in every way, I have of course taken in both cases to a good airflow.
All the old components I have also easily accommodated, well up on the ATX Borad of course, there had to be a new ago ^^ But whether GTX670 in 2,5Slot design or bulky 800g CPU cooler, everything fits in. As also offers the mATX case sufficient space. The length of the 8-pin CPU power cable of my power supply has been sufficient during 350D without extension. When supply of the graphics card (2x 6-pin) it was at a smooth connection (backwards and at an appropriate point again before) been rather scarce.
Real criticisms there is not, in my view. Perfect would be even more aluminum optics, also on the sides and roof have been, but that's the price range rather not drinnen.Die average fan were to be expected. Disturbing can only open roof conceive. Who doesn't install fans here get fast pure dust. A cover is indeed quickly done, but a lid could have been quiet can still pack in the delivery. The turn is provided with all kinds of screws and cable ties. Since I already have fans in the roof there is also no penalty here. Likewise, I have nothing else to complain to the housing, so I 5 * forgive.
Conclusion: High-quality housing without significant weaknesses.
