Since I have a Sigma LED lamp bought only in 2011 in the mid-range and up to now was very happy with it, I'm more surprised, give 3 years of development in the LED can represent the area. The difference is enormously and has my subjective feeling of safety improved significantly, as you know yourself early obstacles and / or is detected early.
However, I now have the impression that it is also committed to this lamp, (with the on / off button is chosen between 3 brightness) and the beam not adjust in time abzulbenden with oncoming traffic in complete darkness too high. So far no one has complained, but I am convinced that the lamp would dazzle an oncoming cyclists at excessively high light cone and the highest level.
But this is not a criticism because, as naturally of course both can not be achieved, well-lit street with no glare, here every cyclist should autonomously adjust the light correctly.
Now even on the points that could still commit a criticism:
Battery performance is adequate (in the brightest stage> 3 hours), but upwards of course I can not specify a scale. At best, the lamp lasts forever without reloading process. : O)
As often bemängelter gripe I have rausgelesen the status lamp before buying. This part I can confirm, in the design of the lamp Sigma has come to the shoring of the green-glowing status LEDs somewhat over the top, especially in total darkness, when the eye has adapted the dark, the green seems somehow "present ".
Worse, when the lamp gives the red-flashing status light that this would soon be charged, the red flashing light is refracted in my glasses, so this appears to be quite pushy is.
