Camera notes:
The picture quality is excellent in my opinion, the camera is to a certain extent "individualized" and there is a button which is freely assignable. As a beginner in the world of DSLR I'm still flabbergasted by the excellent image quality in low-light area.
The various scenes and effects modes provide an easy way to let automated for the corresponding receiving end, configure the optimal camera settings. Pleasant, if you just want to quickly snap times, without having to rework afterwards.
Then, when the artist is awakened in one, of course, are an A, S, and M modes are available.
The battery lasts "quite well" and announces to now in time when it threatens to go out of breath. The disadvantage I feel the high price for a second battery and the fact that the D5100 my knowledge is very intolerant when it comes to third-party batteries.
The lens:
In all focal lengths, I am pleased with the results. Also, the autofocus works wonderfully fast and accurate. Note the following when specifying the focal length crop factor of this camera (1.5). Ie, based on the analog (old) SLR is like having a focal length of 27mm to 158mm. I think you get a good all-around lens for most purposes.
SUPPLIED SOFTWARE ViewNX2:
This software is also available for free download nikon. There is a "Viewer", which can also be something imaging.
I am pleasantly surprised by this program. I knipse most of my photos in RAW format, look me in ViewNX2 again to make and, if appropriate, minor adjustments (crowd drawing, Exposure Compensation, White Balance, D-Lightning etc.). Works beautifully! The RAW data I change subsequently to as part of a batch processing in JPEG's.
