I decided rather quickly to buy this book, much cheaper than the Laffont editor. Alas, I was quickly disillusioned, missing the last chapter "Pitou". This is going to the next book "La Comtesse de Charny, the Knight of Maison-Rouge" I understood my mistake. This chapter lacking Pitou, is important. First, we will find all the characters of the first volume while meeting some new and, secondly, important political events take place there. It is impossible to move to the third volume without knowing the events that take place in this chapter, reading would be rendered incomprehensible. By cons, for those who are only interested in the history of the "Queen's Necklace", this book will suffice.
