Absolute Anspieltipps my part:
"These Days" first single, good brisk opener, in which they ask to take them back but, as they are: "Take me back, before we all explode, before we turn to stone, before the light is gone, take me back to where it all began, to where our memories grow ".
"If you want it" Lead Vocals Gary. Probably the biggest earworm of the album. About sex :) Here I am in the car singing along tried and what can I say: This is a text that has it all. As Gary manages the chorus so quick succession to sing the words, is beyond me, class! Since I need to practice more ... ;-)
"Love Life" Lead Vocals Mark: brisk disco beat, where you mitwippt immediately.
"Portrait": Lead Vocals Gary. Certainly one of the very special songs on the album. Gary at the beginning with falsetto. A beautiful ballad that will change between the rhythms again. Very nicely done.
"Freeze": In the recent interview in Holland Gary told that this song is dedicated to Jason. Garys voice underlines the sensitive lyrics. Jason is not going away, he would never even (as Gary) and yet all want the state, as Jason was there to "freeze" so that nothing changes so say. The end of the song is awesome. Gary, Mark and Howard are based in their own text passage to Jason. Goose Bumps.
"Flaws": Lead Vocals Gary. Here the heart of all Creamcake fans beat faster. It begins with piano, acoustic guitar and Gary clearer voice that again goes into his unmistakable falsetto in the chorus and merges into choral singing at the end. At the latest at the point when he "Better Man" incorporating as it did in other songs, is clear to whom is (presumably) dedicated the song. Prestigious beautiful.
"Get ready for it" about sex and love. The stadium bangers on the album. Starts with the drums of "Never Forget" at the Circus Tour in 2009 and ends in a true gossip anthem. Then I'm looking forward to the concert.
"Amazing". And here I am but decided: By far the best song on the album. Lead Vocals Gary. Take That pure at times of BW / Circus. Sounds almost Christmas in some places. Could not be better! I have come in the car with the second and third hearing the tears. If music achieved something, they have done everything right.
"Do it all for love": Since it has only just recovered from "Amazing" and then something like that. Lead Vocals Mark. Yes, what has the man been doing with his voice? Ripened on the entire album. Mark has never really reached me, but this song has already got me the very first time, what certainly contributes, inter alia, the choral singing. Again, you have to strive to make a not come to tears. Fantastic, Mark! Along with "Amazing" for me the best song on the album.
And the album is not yet at an end !!!! For those who "only" the deluxe bought version: go to the Take That website, then click on the Google link. There are three more songs! At least 16 song and 17 would definitely belongs on the album, which is Take That in its purest form.
Song 16: "Fall down at your feet" lead vocals Gary: Beautiful pop ballad that tells of a great love, which almost acts like an obsession. Profound text, which expresses much longing.
Song 17: "If it's not love": lead vocals, again Gary. Yes, what the Lord Barlow doing there with his voice? That he is a great singer, paid. But here it goes instead into falsetto in absolute depths at the beginning. He sings not only a great, but love par excellence. "If it is in life not hard enough, if there is not enough hurts, if it were not so hard to find, if it does not change your life, then it is not the ultimate love."
Conclusion: There is no really bad outliers on the album. Many favor indeed the Timberlake-esque "Give You My Love" by Howard. The song is good, no doubt, but not (yet) none of my favorites. The few songs that I actually always been skipping, are "I like it", that reminds me the only song too much of Progress and the dance remix of These Days (Song 18).
Overall, I am heavily inspired! Take That will be hard to ever get at the Circus album. To great songs, friendship of Take That-Four men and joy at what they do (in connection with the DVD from Wembley) is not to beat
"III" but clearly linked to the old days of the 90s and 2000s, and just plain fun, has quality in music and lyrics. Jason might be missing as the philosopher of the band (Wooden Boat with striped trousers and bare feet, gorgeous). But the three remaining men do that really well. In times where other bands might have given up, when such an important member is or is paused, bracing themselves against the and it seems no effort, but full of joy and energy. Take That are far from retired, as may from time to time go one and come back, like a revolving door. Only Gary must never go, then Take That would indeed be history. But that's still all right, Take That remain a phenomenal band!
