When the package arrived I was initially very surprised that it is significantly larger than the Indio Color. That's a neat box :) But there are two speakers. The speakers and the display are mounted forward, the buttons (eg for storing the favorite) are attached to the top, just like the volume control and the knob / button for menu navigation.
The menu navigation or the firmware is the same as the Indio Color, but seems to me a little bit faster. Decor was therefore logically the same as in the Indio Color. It went ratzfatz. At the beginning even to enter the wireless data and turn the key, switch to German, time on 24-hour mode and set the clock correctly (despite EU DST was one hour too far back). Then I get even entered the place at the local stations easily displayed in one of the menu items. Done.
Well, I can say to sound. I was very happy already at Indio Color before a speaker. This equipment exceeds it but again, the bass is felt much better perceive. But I am not a sound and hi-fi experts. Tastes are different since - but I'm as happy with it.
I really read through many Internet radio stations here. Eventually I ended up in Avox Indio, either because they like here still had any reviews or as the Indio Color predominantly good (at least that was the worst rating of three stars - that there was nowhere else).
The unit also has two more line out (red / white). When Indio Color has the colleague who received the gift to another Logitech Z383 bought system and a cable (from line-out red / white on-line in red / white). Thus, additional speakers can be connected. Do I need here but definitely not, but would also be possible.
It was there also a regular EU-plug with me. Could start immediately.
All in all I am aware of the choice for the Indian Grand again very satisfied. Yes, it is slightly more expensive than others, but if you read the reviews here, I suspect even knowing why.
What I would like to mention here also positive is the fast response time of support to two requests on my part in your mailbox. That there are only very rarely.
Crashes I had been none.
On the display you see the station logo and, if it transmits the station, artist / title and. Depending on the length as scrolling text. This could possibly represent better, but it will certainly provide firmware updates. But that is the only small criticism I have.
Those looking for something smaller, which takes up little space, I recommend the Indio Color. This has only one speaker. Who has more space and a little more "oomph" needed makes the Grand Indio I think many things right. Sound is just always a matter of taste ... I've Made a strong buy recommendation for a very good, great Internet Radio with two good speakers and a simple user interface.
