Light and Shadow 3

First of the qualities:
- Panorama mode (measuring towards ATTENTION always bright area, then look only starting point for swing!): Really great results up to the level: a keen amateur photographer. Professionals are SLR and prefer stitching multiple images.
- Video Mode: Great image quality, smooth zoom speed, some slow adjustment of the sharpness. Sound I could not test. But beware, faster PC's condition to the results at all to view smoothly.
- Very good image stabilizer (photo and video). Maximum Zoom thereby actually fully usable, even with shorter exposure times (approximately to 1/50 sec. No problem)
- GPS if you carefully waits for signal (in dense foliage of the chip loses before the "look through" to the sky.) Relatively accurately. Otherwise get photo data of the last photos (no matter how long that's her, that was shot). By turning off new data.

Now the weaknesses:
- The high-speed chip tends very overexposed. Especially bright sun and grass areas (mountain hike with sun) looks cruel.
Have the impression that the Kontrastunfang is very low. In highlights and shadows in difficult shooting situations little drawing.
- Housing design not mature. Trigger and dial exchanged? Why? Dial is made with normal grip with thumb ... issue here is not, unfortunately. Left micro and flash are hidden quite times with fingers. You have to get used.
- GPS on / off hidden deep in the menu. Since significantly increased battery demand will be the regular but on and off switch.
- White balance slightly blue-gray by the Bank. Switch to cloudy actually never hurts.

ATTENTION: The otherwise possible in almost any camera setting of sharpness / saturation / contrast can be found here not. -> Might improve a lot. Best yet intensity of noise reduction and then the camera might Topp, who knows.

Then, the camera has a fixed aperture. In manual mode, you can at this point to turn a gray filter (makes the camera in automatic mode of course!). Focus control None.

What one seeks in vain: flash intensity setting, manual focus (at least 3-4 levels), limit ISO Auto, Automatic contrast reduction in different intensities (of light and shadow images).

Personally, I'm really torn as to whether I should be sorry to not be so cheap purchase, or not.

Was she really an all-rounder (for holidays) in my collection is probably yet another specialist - crap ... ;-)

Another tip: If you want to use GPS, please have 2-3 spare batteries fully charged thereby. Battery life 2-4 h may be too short for a tour before.

Supplement for some time experience:

Hab now used to the peculiarities and even the image results are all just as I expected.
The cool colors I correct now very happy to batch processing: Red approximately + 5%, blue about -5%, reduce exposure slightly and increase saturation to taste. -> Result then something like Canon cameras.

What now really convinced me is the precision in the extreme telephoto range. Gerad here I had already tested Ettlich Compact that are clearly fallen.

Panorama Mode: I use still like. But it's not easy to get the horizon straight. Here concentration and precision is required when swiveling.

Oh yes. Normal I photograph in principle in P mode. But with the Sony I use now more often the intelligent automatic. Results fit here nicely and the potential P settings do not solve the above problems, unfortunately, so I'll leave the rest of the camera also like logic.
