All functions of the receiver are playing to achieve the remote control. The operating concept is almost self-explanatory. The USB port allows a USB flash drive or an external hard drive to connect. I use a 16GB USB flash drive, which allows fast writing. So I can also record programs in HD format problems besides the normal TV program. The high image quality is maintained even when playing.
Under the name "SM DVR Converter" provides Skymaster on its website the "DVR Export Tool" in version 1.2 on, the recordings can be converted into an MPEG format on your PC, which allows for easy playback and further processing. This works fine on Windows Vista 64-bit and I have archived some programs.
To edit channel lists and favorite groups nor the "AliEditor DB4" in version 2.1.0a, Upgrade Library version 3.0.0e, made available for download under the name "SM settings editor". However, this did not work with my DDF and ABS files. With the "AliEditor DB4" in version 2.0.0b, Upgrade Library Version 3.0.0b but it worked flawlessly. So it is very easy to secure the program and satellite list on a USB flash drive to work on the PC and then transferred via the "Upgrade by USB" on the receiver.
Especially the easy handling external storage media, whether it's a USB flash drive or a 2.5 "hard drive, which is supplied without any problems via the USB port with power, and support for file systems like FAT, FAT32 and NTFS, make for me a more purchase recommendation.
I bought the receiver can determine the start of September and after four weeks of operation, not fault.
Certainly, there are devices that do justice with regard to equipment and externals also more demanding, but for inexpensive entry into the HD-viewing experience is good all this receiver.
