(+) Operating concept - convinced me at full line. Rotate press and even adjust while receiving the amount. That's really good! (Maybe this is a bit too subjective of me, but this kind of operation like better than that with the touch screen to me.)
(+) Includes a starter package that you can dismiss as promotional samples, in fact it is for me always a help for replenishment and I realize again and again that it annoys me when the competition when two tablets, a filter and descaling is saved. In addition, this welcome package still comes therefore in a practical box.
(+/-) To prepare milk froth on the option or frothed milk drinks, I am less enthusiastic, however, this is a pretty cheap machine and I would recommend him people who lay not so much emphasis on cappuccino or latte. If you just quickly a large cup or two large cups of coffee would have time, will find with these fully automatic machines from Krups!
This fully automatic machine makes namely not at your fingertips a cappuccino, for a better understanding, here the principle of operation for a coffee maker with milk:
First a coffee relate (to Place a cup under the coffee spout) and then (via the steam function and clamped milk tube that has to be stuck in a milk container) milk relate -> to put the cup to the right on the space provided. (This milk nozzle is to swing to the left on the cup not available.)
The purchase of milk (foam) works the way on the steam button! (I have of course been no Gebraus instructions how the Ochs vorm Berg, because a product key for milk (foam) does not exist).
My first attempts to conjure up milk on an existing coffee are quite danebengegangen and have provided for orderly mess. You have this swiveling milk nozzle rotate at a certain angle, but how is exactly you need to find out first!
(- / +) Height-adjustable coffee spout (from 65 mm to 123 mm): It is important to remember that, for example, high cups do not get so easily placed under the spouts ... coffee mug with max. 230 ml capacity (approximately 11cm height) are not a problem, tall latte glasses or To Go - cup already!
(+/-) The height-adjustable coffee spout is wonderfully robust, unfortunately misled slightly to place the cup false. With us some coffee went wrong, because the cup was placed too far forward.
(-) The strange design principle this supposedly innovative "slatted trays" I think more than just getting used to, because if there is actually something (milk!) Bib, one has the same neat work on the neck. The milk runs there in every crevice. That sounds now negative, especially when the manufacturer told me that here is a simple preparation of dairy beverages "(quote from the product description) it is possible, I would like to disagree. Just different.
(+/-) Cold coffee? (Note settings!) - So, I put no thermometer in the freshly brewed coffee, but when I exhort to three acquaintances to try and a similar feedback comes as: ".? The cold, however, belongs the so", then I'm beginning to check settings. This fully automatic machine offers the option to the brewing temperature * very hot to put *. Unfortunately, that does not change an awful lot of profit. Personally, I would not have noticed, because I do not like scalding hot coffee or drink can, but you pointed out to me discreetly on this deficiency.
(+/-) Course (required)? - Most comfortable feels this little beefy looking fully automatic when the center with plenty of space around and set it up to the top ...
When setting up so you should keep in mind that you need up much space because the rear-mounted water tank is removable upwards / use. On the left Since you still need a good 20 centimeters, time you have to pull out the coffee grounds container and these cleaning slipcase.
(+/-) Volume? - The machine has a stainless steel grinder and this principle is now even loud. Although the case looks a little soundproofing but noise makes the device very well.
(+/-) Water-filling display? = Wrong! - The water is poured into the rear-mounted tank, which is not as simple, but with a little practice to get to grips with. Annoying is much more likely that one outside has no indication of the filling level in the tank.
(+/-) No internal cleaning required. This is both positive and negative. Those looking for a device that does not demand a (costly cleaning and maintenance) of the removable brew group, we find a Krups machines. (My personal view on the subject is the way that I am skeptical about this low-maintenance system, but I noticed no appreciable taste deficiency during long periods of an older model on Krups VA.)
(+/-) Rinse Rinse, rinse ... you can before and rinse after each power on / off, but you do not. I think it's good that this machine then * ask *, but that also means that it accounts for only a little, if you answered their question. Wash the lot (which I condemn in principle) is more often to open the outlet container / drawer to empty.
Long-term behavior (?): Here is perhaps even reworked in a while, or nachgefügt long-term experience. Since I had to test some time ago a similar Krups model, I'm a little biased because the Krups EA 8260 (Test starting May 2011) has been discarded after 2.5 years because of complete incontinence; that is, there was something leaking in the machine so that it was always in a Wasserlaache. - I do not necessarily believe that Krups commits with newer models the same mistakes, but it is important to keep in mind this besinders.
In a nutshell, my conclusion:
Anyone looking for a fully automatic machine that works quickly and reliably, especially for large cups of coffee, will perhaps find here. The simple * as advertised * possibility for perfect milk foam, I question twice, because neither it is simple yet perfect, because what I can cope splurge awkward to me.
