My opinion is mixed. The starting point and the historical chapters are well made, but the story itself is poorly written and suffers from too much implausibility (even accepting the premise, the exploitation of the Nazi research to create a superman). The book has the merit of reminding or informing the youngest on the totalitarian conception of medical research and despicable treatment inflicted by "doctors" to thousands of human guinea pigs; and more incredible cynicism of the Allies at the end of that war have absolved, bleached and pampered these sadists to make them their own service for developing biological and genetic weapons. It could have been a BIG book with a little more realism in action and especially a minimum of writing quality.
