Nice and sharp lens

I use this lens on a Sony Alpha 77. The autofocus responds quickly and is (especially when shooting important) nice and quiet. The recordings are in my opinion very sharply. As a comparison, I still have a Tamron 17-50 / 2.8 the images are in my opinion at the same level. The silent autofocus motor was a reason for buying, because I want to filming and the autofocus drive the otherwise excellent Tamron 17-50 / 2.8 is much too loud for that. The ability to upgrade to full-frame camera (eg Alpha 99) was also a reason to buy.

Summary:
Positives:
- Quiet and fast autofocus drive
- Sharp imaging
- Sealed against water spray (I do not have tested), seals are visible
- Price compared to comparable Zeiss optics

Neutral:
- Weight and size, you have to like
- The lens ID of my copy is equal to that of Zeiss 24-70 may be disadvantageous when the camera internal lens correction is active, which does not fit for Tamron yes
- To the Alpha 77 (APS-C) no wide angle, as full-frame lens, but I did not previously clear
