I did not know what to buy for not scratching my MBA, and is a regular at amazon, I ordered this shell after searching on the internet to find out what it was worth technically and economically. In the end four days after I get my shell very well packed in a plastic bag. I installed my shell under 30s as it is intuitive, it is not 50 possible positions. My first test was to protect: super because it protects the hood and below my MBA in addition to it really solid. (Excluding finished scratches on the screen and around the keyboard) My second point was gene thereof: again I was surprised, they are well placed small clips that hold around the hull, suddenly share their position and finesse no problem to type on the keyboard or close his MBA. Question is super light weight so happy! My last criterion (probably the most important final) aesthetics: the shell is translucent enough, let me explain, it still happens (with a blur) to read through the letters of the serial number present in the MBA. In the distance (3-4m), it is not apparent that the MBA has a hull. Otherwise the night the hull is perfectly translucent enough to see the apple mac shine. To my surprise, the other advantage is that the shell elevates a can my MBA so he ventilates better and if I'm not quite happy I put the two blocks to raise it and it's not bad for cuffs and most preferably for ventilation. Overall I recommend this purchase because in addition I was suprised by convenience. I say go for it.
