Up to the day when we heard that our neighbor from her new Saugwischer Vorwerk - just so enthused - incl. Accessories over 1000 Euro. After some research, I was from Vorwerk principle (a few plaster strips under the appliance, dampened with a spray bottle, and wipe a few m2, then wash the strips and re-moisten them with the solution) not at all convinced - and certainly not from the price ,
Then went out research in Inet, until I stumbled upon the Philips. Amazon delivers - in doubt return within 14 days, but the reviews were so good for the device. After the Philips has arrived here today, he was equal unpacked and started a 2 hour cleaning session through the whole house.
Situation: granite floors high gloss, parquet - the's not like too wet, tile, laminate. These three cats and two children, a single storey holiday home, winter and thus to a lot of dirt, which is carried in. Oh I forgot my plants that do so sometimes their mess, leaves, small plant parts.
First of all: The suction mode works surprisingly well, only very large parts should be hand-pick (sheets, etc.). What the device does not like, are hair. In particular, long hair. My daughter has a looong looong hair) - Twice the device also bleated around until the brush and were next to exempt from such obstacles. Otherwise the sucker ran through without any problems. Hair, and other debris accumulate reliable in dirty water tank or in the sieve. Which (which I see as the way not bad - after you clean the floor for clean water) after each new filling was cleaned. I think we needed for 200 m2 (two floors, 10 rooms about 10 fillings. In between, twice liberated the brush of obstacles.
But then the cleaning result: Just Woow! The granite floors are reflected, the parquet and laminate are leaving streaks - so clean our floor was already long no longer.
Conclusion: We love the Philips - a smart, affordable device of its kind with little airs and graces (but better hair that slow down the brush, remove to let gas slowly burn out instead of the engine ...) - and would not easily give up this Saugwischer. I think we all have to live with the situation that devices of this type are still a total new technical ground, and there in the next five years, still does a lot. And who looks at the Philips to be deficient, which is to be nevertheless times the view "ingenious" principle of sauteuren Vorwerk ... For us the Philips Aqua Trio is one of the best devices that we have ever purchased for our household.
EDIT and Interim conclusion (July 9, 2015 update) for a good six months Use: The Aqua Trio comes once a week to clean our family house with three residential floors, to clean total about 220 square meters, in use. He does continue to be very good.
Nevertheless, we must give the device a star deduction. Why? As noted in the first review, he may now and then bitches - he is from, and the red light. At first we were still of the opinion it was up to the hairs that were wrapped around the rollers (a few), because after cleaning everything went well again. Meanwhile, we believe to have come true problem on the ground. And we always cleaned in stages, is to say, clear out a space, suck (the coarse dirt is picked up at us with a vacuum cleaner), saugwischen, again defer and then to the next room. That's usually until shortly before the end of good, comes the latest in the basement then the lamp, the device turns off.
Then the dancing starts - you can start a new short, then comes after some time the red light, so the running intervals are getting shorter. Often I then noticed that the rolls were not really dirty. But in the basement there is a larger contiguous area for cleaning, especially the unit has run hitherto been almost 2 hours with breaks. There arose more and more the suspicion that the device does not refer dirt, but simply the engine overheats, if one at a time working a long time with it. This has been confirmed lately more and more, which is why we are almost 100% in this regard are certain that it is because. Many people with an apartment or an apartment to 100 square meters of which will probably do not notice much. Or even if you alternating with pauses, allow the engine to cool down. As before, the cleaning result, just on our black granite tiles, fantastic. And all this without cleaning agents.
One star deduction there but for the poor engine management - either was installed to a weak engine, too little attention to the cooling, or the control for switching off too sensitive set. I hope for an improved successor, Philips :)
One word: We continue to clean with the same brush, because although we have spare, since they are still very good shape. Only the rubber lips are a problem, because in two places they are no longer straight. And that's exactly where this wave is in the lip, Saugwischer leaves like to strip, where it does not deduct 100%. This can give stains. Soon I will inquire times with Philips for replacement, should be no problem.
