Pro:
- Large numbers
- Good display
- Beautiful Design
- Lighting Option
- Built-in thermometer
- Easy installation
- Sufficiently long sensor cable for hybrid bike with front suspension (in my case Gudereit LC90)
Cons:
- Something complicated operation due to the 4 buttons
- Unfortunately function cadence can not be permanently hidden in the menu, if no sensor is available, so you have to navigate through this ever superfluous entry beyond clicking through the functions. Here would have in the settings menu quite simply a disabling this feature can be enabled.
- Small quality defect / series may spread: a key pressure point something undefined
- Supplied cable ties to alternative Mona days of the sensor
- Display disk quite easily scratched
- Incomplete installation instructions, see below for details.
After preliminary installation I had due to incomplete instructions the problem is that the bicycle computer did not work initially. Below my 3 criticisms regarding the installation instructions:
1) The main problem was first the fact that the cycle computer has displayed after installation no speed (just not the 1 in the top left of the display). The only variable and apparently Variable notice is given under "cadence" and that although no cadence sensor was present. Curiously, on the other hand remained the average cadence to 0.
Only through some tinkering, I found that the error was caused by the fact that I, the holder of the cycle computer on the handlebars "upside down", ie had mounted with the cable to the front or away from me pointing This orientation was in my case, when mounted on the handlebar stem with respect to the cable guide on the most practical. When I also mounted the computer turned by 180 °, everything soon running as intended.
In your brief is indeed to be seen on almost all the images that the cable towards the driver shows (except in Figure 1.6, where the cable in the picture is missing) but it is not proven that this is a prerequisite for the operation , I was due to the fact that the cycle computer four contacts and the holder has only two contacts at the bottom in a horizontal orientation, it is believed that at least a 180 ° rotated arrangement is possible. As already described this possibility would bring benefits for optimizing cable management with them.
2.) The Quick Start Guide is the alternative installation by cable ties shown in the pictures to the wired BC 16.12 (without STS), although these are not included as opposed to BC 16.12 STS. This in turn will be clearly displayed in the figures supplied with the two variants below. Thus the presentation is somewhat contradictory.
3.) The assembly instructions (but not the setting overview on the back) is unfortunately labeled only in English, which perhaps could be a problem for one or two customers.
