The device is easy. Plug into the socket, HDMI cable to the TV, and if necessary, connect a LAN cable. At the beginning it is recommended to bring the firmware up to date. For this, the LAN cable must be connected of course. Following the description of the update, this is partly filled in less than 5 minutes. All who have no LAN cable near, can indeed omit the update or briefly come to meet with the player to the cable. ;-)

After inserting the disc, this is quickly ready to play. The player loads so very quickly. He is sometimes briefly a little louder. In normal operation, however, it is very quiet and therefore imperceptible.

The remote control is designed very clearly and is not least thanks to an ergonomic "Einrundung" very good in the hand. However, I miss partially a noticeable pressure point in the Keys.

At the image quality I can not fault. Brilliant images, rich colors ... I think here it comes anyway more on the material (Blu-Ray, DVDs) and TV. On the player, it fails the BP420 certainly not.

The playback of external sources such as USB flash drives or hard drives will also work without any problems. It also MKV files can be played.

The SMART functions (LG Apps) were and are beside the point for me. Yet I have seen short items, and found what principle all providers. , Video portals, etc. Since I have a selection of games, news apps such functions already on TV and there via WLAN, I have dispensed with the permanent installation of a LAN cable.

CONCLUSION
Very good 3D Blu-ray player with ease of use, low noise, good image quality, decent facilities and as sweet online functions. For this purpose an outstanding price / performance ratio.
