The workmanship is very good. Everything properly ready. The palm rest is tightly integrated and very good on the size and surface thereof. For me one of the best palm rest from all keyboards that I've tried. These were previously Logitech G510, G510s, Isku FX, SteelSeries Apex, Perixx PX-1100 and PX-3000th My previous keyboard was the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard and currently I'm testing the PX-1100.
Even the keystroke was all keyboards for me the best and most pleasant. Just great.
The cable is of high quality, key illumination so far also OK. In old batches there were probably violent problems because some keys were not completely illuminated. This is hereby »largely corrected". Why mostly? Because sometimes some keys "are easily" not properly illuminated. In particular, the series of numbers. However, this is so minimal that it does not significant. I could see everything, and in this respect I felt everything as far as OK.
Driver software I have only briefly installed and so far everything seems to be OK and to function properly. Extensive things I have not tested. Why? Because I had met after about 3 hours, the decision to return the keyboard.
Why? Because that is absolutely useless for me.
My Windows is on a Samsung SSD hardware encryption enables (840 per). My motherboard (Intel DZ77GA-70K) continues to support the setting of a password for the SSD for just this encryption (not every board allows this). Ie., When I turn on my computer, comes immediately after the BIOS post messages the password prompt, so that I can ever restart the system. It is a BIOS password prompt.
If I then there press any key, then sets the keyboard several keystrokes to (which I can not see, because only star visible). When I press any button again, several characters can be entered again. What is the result? I can not start my system, and need for a second keyboard. When I am in the bios, is the same thing. The keyboard makes as violent problems. I basically my system Be moved only in the idle state (and sometimes several times a day), I would have two keyboards. A to start the system and this keyboard to work under Windows. Unthinkable for me.
So I have to Google made my search and on the fly about 4 reports of users found that also have problems in the BIOS with this keyboard. I guess, the keyboard will probably not cause problems with all motherboards, but only with certain motherboards. The support by the manufacturer told me that the keyboard most likely not in harmony with the BIOS.
Therefore, I rate the keyboard with 3 stars because just right almost everything, just so I can not use the keyboard. A significant limitation! And this is the first keyboard that far so shows a behavior I've never had such restrictions with a keyboard.
I would recommend the keyboard to try and buy if you're lucky. But remember, if the next motherboard so well is also compatible? Otherwise just a replacement keyboard at hand, if you have only between times in the Bios. I am sorry to several times a day in the bios make entries (password to unlock).
