most reviews here, judging by the halestorme debut "metal with female". I then ordered the CD and can sign the "with woman" part. the "metal" part but not. pop rock with heavy guitars, I would rather say. the whole has certainly significantly more of pink & co., as of classic metal with female Chapels like warlock / Doro, Nightwish, Zed Yago / Velvet viper, Sahara, girl school, Sister Sin, Arch Enemy etc. While making all quite different music, but they also share precisely this certain metal-gen, on its nature you look for nights like arguing. Exactly anyway missing Halestorm. Not even the name nix, who already is admittedly pretty metal.
the drawer think times left out, have Halestorm a squeaky-produced debut delivered, full of short, crisp numbers and catchy choruses. despite tough riffs and candid lyrics this all sounds but unfortunately so perfectly smooth and unspectacular that anyone really brings out the rest. me personally that's too boring.
If you like the current metal with woman, but opera trulla want to hear sing not the thousandth, may sometimes listen to the last Sister Sin. not so clean and much more metal.
