Unfortunately you have to buy this lens hood separately - because they are not part of the delivery of G1x is Mark II. Rewarding of anything expensive purchase is all - since this person is almost mandatory for me. When the camera is even longer time in road use or will be used for recording tripod - the aperture remains continuously mounted. Only for shots where it needs to go fast and there is no time for the (slight) Assembly - I do not use the lens hood - but this also is not a problem - otherwise I would have chosen hardly a compact camera.
