Snow Patrol are back - Get yourself the Deluxe

Fallen Empires (Limited Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

3 years a few days have passed since A Hundred Million Suns - but it seemed to me like ehr prior decades. the Snow Patrol for me is music which, though erfrodert a certain mood (or season), but this then branding in those moments in the ear canal and can linger there for long and always leaves you wanting for more. Now the new album's finally there. I can a Snow Patrol CD although not quite impartially write a review, but I try anyway.

The album starts with I'll never let go with a driving song that has a nice tension developed and nicely warmed to 4:40 minutes for the other tracks. With Cold Out In The Dark is then available to the already well-known (and very typical), first single. Solid Sound, beautiful chorus - fits. The Weigt of love then closes on the mood restores to the opener. Track 4 on the disk - This Is not Everything You are -is not just Mainstreaming and therefore somewhat surprising to me that the single was No. 2 -. However, a very nice piece of music, which surely takes its listeners. Next I do not want to go into the individual tracks. Following is a nice diverse mix of acoustic, synth and indie sounds and above it all hovers the voice of Gary Lightbody. The trakcs play something hot and cold of the basic characteristics and holds a under his spell. I could make out no definite favorites now, but I need to consume a few more times the album.

I will of course also discuss the DVD, which is included in the Deluxe Edition. It is a live recording of a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. There the 11 Hilightsongs were packed onto the DVD that about 1 hour of play it follows. Especially is this is a predominantly acoustic set with small orchestra. The atmosphere is great, sample the ambiance comes across well, impeccable sound and you can tell that Gary vocally also brings live, what you get to hear on the studio albums. DVD insert and enjoy.

Conclusion:
They deliver again exactly what the fans want to hear, and will also generate new fans, that simply good music. From the radio-friendly - mainstreamigen (hit) single over uptempo numbers to the spährischen sound walls, which in small nuances develop with repeated listening more and more and in the ear (and the heart) and are looking for a place to settle.
With Berlin is even the first purely instrumental track by Snow Patrol on the program (or an extended Prelude track, depending on the :-). Of course, Snow Patrol invents the genre is not new and it bedeinen at the currently so fashionable 80s references and synth sounds, but they remain Snow Patrol and stay well. What I especially liked a lot, is that the whole album feels well structured back where namely A Hundred Million Suns seemed sometimes a bit without concept and to mushroom, is always nice to locate everything and simply fits together. Therefore: Album - meet new songs and enjoy. (And of course, tickets for the upcoming shows kauffen not forget.
