I bought the camera recently and hanged times on my Linux system (Debian). The camera has been recognized immediately and I was able to get started right away.
I use the camera mostly together with Skype. The Skype integration is so good that I have not even noticed.
If the camera does not get enough light, you will turn off completely in advance. With too little light I mean a 20 watt bulb in 2 meters at night. I think that's acceptable. Otherwise, it is fast and relatively well.
It's just about wireless somewhat pixelated. But that is apparently not to the camera. The transfer directly from your camera to your computer is really clean.
Hope that helps the few Linux users to opt ;-)
