"Diamonds ..." is my favorite movie aboluter. For years, therefore, is of course also the original CD release on my shelf ... like most other soundtracks of the 007-series. And not only the movie is great, the soundtrack is a masterpiece, especially now that finally all tracks available from the movie, this is all the more clear, especially since the now existing bonus tracks among the best pieces of the film! One of the most striking points in the film, for example, the experience shows that everyone knows, even if he otherwise can not really remember the film is that of James Bond in the burning coffin in the crematorium of "Slumber, Inc.". Although the scene is not entered into the collective memory of humanity, but the film is about that which is the shower scene of "Psycho". The gigantic musical accompaniment by John Barry on this very key scene was missing already on the first publication bitter (and I frankly unintelligible), but that's over now. Musically outstanding and finally heard in most brilliant sound quality for the first time "Airport Source" - the music for the landing of James Bond in LA Herrlich also a jazz combo fragment from "Alternate Cues", which is used to underscore the scene of Tiffany in the Casino ( "Why do not you play with water balloons?"), and fully unfolds its magic only at the second or third listening, because here the musicians jam alternately highly virtuosic solo. What attention to detail in a scene in which the music is more of an accessory! I have taken the fun, all the pieces (which are composed partly of multiple scenes) apart to cut and bring in the correct order. Now I can enjoy the whole movie musical, and except for the "hideous marching music" on Blofeld's satellite control tape (maybe that was the real music of the cassette and not by John Barry * g) and the effect music to transform human / female gorilla "Zambora "really lacks nothing! I admit that I have often railed about some publication practice of record companies, especially when it comes to re-releases, you have to offer nothing new. Here I can my luck not believe that a company has in fact granted the luxury to search the archives for the original tapes, this to remaster lovingly expensively and again to publish a sensational further finds - because so little achieved so pretty sure not a mass audience, but rather a handful of geeks like me. Thank you, therefore, all the more, dear EMI, on their knees for this gift!
