I tested many before making my choice and it managed to fill all my expectations. I was looking for originally a small mouse for FPS and mainly to suit an outfit Claw Grip (claw type). I previously had a Razer Imperator rather designed for keeping Palm Grip ie to fit any hand. This outfit is perfect comfort level but lack of responsiveness in FPS. Also I appreciate the mouse with a number of buttons is limited to the necessary. Too many buttons = too big mouse clicks and inadvertently in action. So I wore my choice at first on a Steelseries Sensei then this Razer Taipan.
Material quality of the Taipan is impeccable, applying pressure on the mouse, no matter where, you do not feel any void or crack, no weak construction.
Level ergonomics is perfect. Matter is the best I've tested on a mouse. She clings and is well in hand, all without too keep track. The buttons all fall perfectly under the fingers. It was a little difficult to find the ideal place for the ring during the early hours game, but once found it is only happiness.
Level accuracy, no complaints. Buttons are the most sensitive and respondents I've tested (very good feeling in play). The wheel is very precise notches are felt without impeding the flow of it. Weapon is changed unerringly which literally saves lives in some FPS like CS Go. The wheel button is also very sensitive. On this point I think the Taipan is much better than the Steelseries Sensei whose wheel is lacking in some aspects.
Finally sensor accuracy is absolutely perfect: the detection distance is adjustable to the mat which is very nice, I appreciate having to lift my little mouse so that the cursor does not move. This sensor does not suffer any hardware acceleration (compared to the Steelseries Sensei who disappointed me on this point). The sensor never answers, no matter how fast the mouse is moved, very valuable for low sensi players who send their field mouse at top speed on the carpet. Finally we like to record more directly adjustable sensitivity via buttons under the wheel. Very useful in play but also for editing and graphic design (Photoshop or Premiere Pro). On this point I only reproach the small half-second latency between the click and the change of sensi, which was not present on the Steelseries Sensei. This is in my opinion a default Razer mouse since I had already seen this problem on my Imperator.
I will finish on the aesthetic aspect which I think is an important point when you're paying 70 euros in a field mouse! And there is flawless! The mouse is the proud on his carpet and knows she has nothing to envy anyone. She is so beautiful that my girlfriend accuses me of having the advantage of eyes that my mouse for her ...
