The film was already quite respectable, but the best part was that the producer Prince won for the soundtrack. It was equally important that he was allowed to enjoy themselves undisturbed. This record was the first, received the Prince without his backing band The Revolution. He played all the instruments himself and really tried to find an almost atavistic access to radio. Songs like "Batdance" and "Partyman" testify to an incredible play and experimentation. Above all, Prince has really set the film apart and trying to the different sequences of the film to write songs that pick up on the mood of the scenes. This was the producer of the film, however, probably too far, so they still have largely backed the film with orchestral music far away from Prince. Too Bad. Still, I find the CD class and in my opinion it is one of the most undervalued slices of Prince. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
