Often the band had still received more live tracks, but which fit due to the limited playing time a record is no longer on a LP or DoLP. In this age of CD these live albums were re-released and very often spiced up with additional live songs. The 70s live albums of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and UFO are now to have on CD or DoCD in a tricked-out version (ie with additional live tracks).
And that is what has now been fabricated with the Recorded live album of Ten Years After. Since October 2013, these new version is as DoCD on the market.
Overall, we now get to hear more music than 73 minutes (!!!). The original album were added the following titles:
Time Is Flying (5:36)
Standing At The Station (11:51)
Jam (in Amsterdam) (18:09)
Help Me (12:06) - This song was on the original version already on it
I Woke Up This Morning (4:26)
Sweet Little Sixteen (4:24)
Jam (in Frankfurt) (16:53)
Who is impressed by Alvin Lee and his guitar playing, which will come fully at its expense, especially in the jams and the Super version of Standing at the station. Here pointing to Mr. Lee (RIP), why he (then) was ranked among the best and fastest guitarist in rock history.
The Recorded live album of Ten Years After was greatly enhanced by the addition of the bonus live tracks and it gives a tremendous amount of pleasure to listen to this now 40-year-old live classic in the new version!
Here, of course, is only the highest rating (= 5 Stars) into consideration.
Unrestricted buy recommendation on my part!
