There have been already written some opinions on the device, but in my opinion some important details are still missing: - You can use this adapter EVERYTHING that an IDE or SATA connection has operated, in other words that still are of ancient hard disks in a drawer, on Current hard drives (also notebook hard disks through a small adapter) and CD / DVD / Blue-ray drives. - The adapter is bootable, so if supported by the BIOS, which is indeed the case in all modern computers. Ideal if you have a netbook without a CD drive, you can therefore install from a normal CD drive without making yourself a USB Boot Stick - The transfer rate is neat, I myself run a Blueraybrenner the adapter because it is currently much cheaper an Internal Blueraybrenner plus adapter to buy, as an external device. Save-currently about 50 - The adapter requires Windows XP (SP3) no driver! Windows automatically recognizes the driver and he will be installed as a normal controller. It does not require special drivers to other devices to operate it, it just behaves as an internal device. DVD / Blueray burner are angschlossen it appear as normal drives, both in Windows and in all firing cycles, ie no compatibility issues. - All necessary cables for SATA and USB are included.
so I hope I could help some herewith, I even had to try the device only to gain access to this information ;-)
