Top hard drive

UPDATE 10/06/2014:
First I want to say that the hard drive is still working just as good as on the first day. No speed penalty, although it is now well filled. The plug is still as secure as ever and there are also no noticeable noise noticeable.
I was pointed out in the comments that the USB cable is standard, not some private only for WD hard drives. Many thanks to "nerdbert" for reporting :)
The bag is also completely and has no holes or the like, thus saith generally of a quality product with grade accessories.
I admit still a strong buy recommendation for anyone who is looking for an external hard drive.

I have this external hard drive now since a few weeks, because no longer offered me my old 500GB hard drive enough space.

DC vornweg: The hard drive was a great investment! It feels very valuable, is not too heavy and not too light, and the cables are held securely in the terminals! (In my 500GB harddisk the cable sits very loosely)

Why do we need so much space (2TB)?
I have on that drive my music, various shows, movies (my BluRays), photos, my data for the study, different setups for PC, backups of my games (Steam, etc.) and Full HD videos, which I with my snowboarding helmet camera receiving.

I have just a 34 GB file (movie) moved from my PC via USB 3.0 to the hard disk, while the rate was an average of 100 MB / s (95-105), which is very good for my usage. That can no longer be compared with the old USB 2 hard drives!
The hard disk is formatted in NTFS, incidentally, by default so are files larger than 4GB no problem;)
During the transfer process (and otherwise too) hard drive is quiet, I only hear the fan from my PC and no other (HDD) noise.

Now for small negative points:
The USB 3.0 cable looks very self, my old hard drive had here a standard cable. I do not know whether this cable is only used by WD or otherwise is also common. In addition, the cable is relatively short, whereby one must point out that you indeed never removed operates an external hard drive very far from the PC or notebook.

The carrying case is a very nice touch, but it is very small and thin, much protection they will not provide so, but for the transportation or storage of cable is suitable.
