Unfortunately, here the old, worse Revision 1:09 is still sold. It can be recognized by the label on the back. In my unit there is Rev00 (old revision) Manufacture Date January 2013. Even this year so the bad revision was still produced and delivered.

Can the new version of firmware 1.25 really shine (colleague has one), you have to do with the old, delivered me model massive concessions. The disadvantages of the old revision are best read here: read anandtech.com/show/6741/lg-29ea93-monitor-review-rev-125. Part serious differences.

Therefore, the device goes back, I do not pay that much money for a kind of beta version.

Actually, a good monitor in the new revision, I have but get the old and must assess these there are only 2 stars.

A few more notes: The device is not very high with foot, makes on the desk therefore a very slim figure. Therefore, however you look with your head more down than up or straight, you have to like. The foot is made of plastic and not metal. Is a little shaky, but adequate, as the monitor itself is quite easy. You can not rotate the monitor, but rather forward / backward tilt. For use with DVI, you need a dual-link DVI cable, which is also included, as is a HDMI and an audio cable. The menu is clear and easy to use, the keys (touch keys) are located under the frame and easily accessible. The device has an external power supply with sufficiently long cables.

And still what: you can probably take the LG Support to complete to allow upgrade to the new revision. Should we then but sending.
