So far we have thus crimped following contacts: MOLEX Mini-Fit, Molex Micro-Fit, AMP Superseal and MATE-N-LOCK. The contacts were roughly equivalent to the values stated on the collet sizes (1.0 to 1.9 mm). If the contacts are correctly inserted and is pressed with the right pressure, succeed easily excellent results.
A big advantage is that you can see on pressing, as the tongues of contacts deform and therefore may cease if they are ok. The crimping of the contact plates and for the strain relief must be made individually. Since the insertion of contact but is very fast, both crimps must be completed at the same time, as with expensive special pliers for the various systems.
