- The Camera
- The battery
- The cable for charging and PC connection
- The retaining strap for the wrist
- A software CD and
- An extremely short-ducted pictographic manual.

Camera:
The optical zoom of the camera is a real delight for every hobby and amateur photographers, since it saves the lugging around the lenses.
In addition, the camera has a device to be screwed onto a tripod.
After some time of use, the operation almost by itself explains. On wheel you can adjust the various modes and it is presented a brief explanation of what the whole thing is good.
There are modes
- Smart: Here lays the camera itself can be determined which mode best photographed.
- P Mode: Auto shooting mode with automatic set shutter speed and aperture value
- ASM: automatic timer 'Shutter priority' Manual
- SCN: Scene mode for eg: Night Scene, Landscape, Text, Sunset, Dawn, beach, snow and portrait.
- Camera modes: Panorama, 3D Photo, Magic Frame, Split-Pic; Picture-in-picture; Artist Brush, HDR (High Dynamic Rendering), Movie Maker
- Video mode 'Here also Full HD recording is possible.
- Wi-Fi and GPS, this later even more.

For storage functionality:
The camera has 'no' internal memory! You have to buy an SD card. Where I advise rather to an SD HC card 8GB memory and from a class 6.
The class specifies the memory speed. Taking for example, HD video on the camera, and the class is too low, then it does not work and the recording is destroyed.
In my opinion, the long SDHC card completely out. Firstly, because they are still cheaper vs. relative per GB. the SDXC cards are that you could also use, and the recording speed is higher. Class 6 SDXC cards are too expensive. Buy prefer two 32GB SDHC cards. Or two 16GB SDHC cards.
---------------
Battery:
The battery is not exactly brilliant, and the latest firmware. Because if the integrated GPS is once activated, it is always running, even if it turns off the menu and the camera turned off!
The result is a battery that is discharged continuously. That's my Erachtes not and urgently needs to be improved. Because it can not be the last word, always remove the battery, as it can only be charged within the kamere. This makes half a point deduction.
-------------
The Cable:
The camera has a 5V Micro USB port, so it can also be loaded with the now usual charging cables for mobile devices.
The included cable can also be used for connection to the PC.
Just goes not at the length of the cable with 50cm. That's rather a bad 'short' joke. Because you want to load the camera into an electrical outlet in the usual heights, this is on the floor, or dangling in the air, if you have nothing standing directly under it.
This is further 50cm actually missing, saving at the wrong end and makes a quarter point deduction.
-------------
The tether:
The tether is the usual give-away and must have attached itself from the buyer if he / she wants to have for it.
-------------
Software CD:
The CD is needed as well as not. Only one file explorer with regulatory function, and a simple image-editing program included.
The only thing that is useful is the software to download the country map of the world to make use of the GPS to the camera can. Without this it will not work!
But one does not have to download all the maps, if you from the beginning know that you will not visit one or the other country.
The GPS functionality is used to mark the point of the picture and the focus. Here the user can then track again when he has where, which made photo. And should be nearby, they are also marked.
-------------
Wi-Fi:
The Wi-Fi functionality can be good in a wireless network use, but I would advise against an open Wi-Fi, as one in three could intercept the extra photos.
One can for example equal to upload their videos and photos in social networks. These are currently Facebook, YouTube, Picasa and Photo-bucket.
There is still the possibility of the images to be transferred directly to the smartphone, or display for devices with DLNA support on the TV.
Finally, you can also send the photos of your own e-mail account.
-------------
Operating Instructions:
Who wants to have the detailed instruction manual, this is only as a PDF file on the enclosed CD or must themselves on the Internet and download it at Samsung. This is difficult and 8,5MB comprises 186 pages.
It also has a quarter point deduction. In this price range, I expect that the user guide included in print in full. Paper consumption or not.
After all, not in any situation I have my PC, or a Netbook there and sift through a PDF on the smartphone tedious, takes too long and is annoying.
Since I already have penetrated so other customers, please read my comments in the comments.

CONCLUSION:
The new Samsung WB850F is in itself a true masterpiece of technology for the amateur and amateur photographers. It is small, portable, fast and makes very good pictures and good full-HD video.
However, Samsung has completely slept through the freestyle for the perfect duty.
The battery management with the self-unloading is an absolute no-go. Half a point deduction.
The supplied cable is more of a 'Käbelchen', which you can use more of the port on the notebook. A quarter point deduction.
The missing manual in this price range brings still another quarter point deduction.
