If you want to exploit the potential of this Gerätchens, you therefore comes as laptop users not avoid purchasing an external USB Surround card. And would such an equal ASUS integrated with the Elekronik the Soundbar, the costs would have increased marginally and ASUS could optimize the sound on an appropriate adjustment. I have solved this shortcoming with a Terratec 7.1 Ultron for 33 euros and I can only say: This is the sound of this part to 6 stars, provided one chooses the soundcard setting the correct values. It was important that the sound card software has an equalizer (eg, is not the case with the Sound Blaster Pro). In this equalizer that has extremely weird finished presets, but there is one that fits perfectly to Asus: the setting "Soft Rock" does the sound adjustment for music already complete. Movies sound a little better if you additionally in the front riders still selects Virtual Surround and Digital. The sound of so adjusting is much better than one would expect from such a low-cost and compact segment. I think partly downright astounding.
But as I said: Only a surround card and appropriate adjustments in the equalizer. So this part has now become a wonderful holiday companion who can shake the hotel room almost (the all-time low basses are of course not in it, the SUB connection running internally with safety into space) but what of the bass reflex tubes on the left and comes out blown right, a loose sheet of paper of labor. Impressive. The bar is extremely stable levels, nothing rattles, nothing distorted, up to the stop.
Really great, but please only with a sound card (the sound without sound card is much too dumnpf for my taste, and falls far short of the possibilities.)
By the way, the sound card I have pinned down the middle on the Soundbar with double-sided tape, rolled up the connecting cable in accordance with and infected permament and this results in a compact package with a network connection and a USB connection. The device is then on the sound card package, so get 2cm distance from the supporting surface (as if you would use the screw feet) and requires less floor space.
