Although it is not specified whether it was operating on Linux, I had the pleasant surprise to successfully make it work fast enough with Linux. This is actually a ASIX AX88179 whose drivers are downloaded to all OS (Mac, Windows, Linux, Android. [...] We must go through a compilation step on Linux for everything to work but it is very simple and well explained in the file provided with the drivers (in English!).
Level performance, connected via USB 3 is identical to a "real" network card. I have not managed to exceed 55Mb / s transfer but this is only due to my NAS. Level I latency 0.05ms below the locally: 0.037 on average. About online games, latency increased from 137ms to 41ms and it is stable unlike the WIFI. FYI, my latency is 40ms box.
In short great product, cheap and easily transportable with a portable PC.
