Thursday, 03.21.2013, 13:30 clock, Dad comes home.
"Hello darling, hello kids. Was the mail come yet?" "Yes, something from Amazon!" "Today already ?? Oh, my God !!!"
Postbox on, package tattered, CD taken with shaky hands, trapped in the living room, to plant, inserted CD and enjoyed !!!
Life can be so beautiful!
1. Welcome To My World. Astray, what an opener!
2. Angel. Already known to cool number!
3. Heaven. Did I as a single. Has for me the stuff of a true classic! Must somehow think of Somebody, though this was completely different.
4. Secret To The End. JAAA that is Depeche Mode! Could be a 80s song, but it's not!
5. My Little Universe. Huuuuuch, Vince Clarke in the studio ?? Interesting, but the fan base is split. For me, too early to end (but was just interesting)
6. Slow. Like, but I named accordingly to slow. I should have found a B-side.
7. Broken. Yes, nice. Could also originate from the early 80s.
8. The Cild Inside. I am Martin, ne ?! Pensive number, but beautiful!
9. Soft Touch / Raw Nerve. I won, rocking the number and gets you going. If only I had not merely been watched Letterman!
10. Should Be Higher. Pretty cool! Does this really written Dave ??? Carry on !! B-). If Live toll (see Letterman)!
11. Alone. This too is unmistakably DM. Dark, melancholic, class. Not remember the synth part to Any Second Now?
12. Soothe My Soul. Who said Delta Machine had no hit singles? What a board! Kam on Letterman not quite as good over. All the better for me now: -D
13. Goodbye. A friendly "angle, angle" at the end of CD1. Schade already over!
DC again heard. I'm sorry the family, today is my day!
This album is head and shoulders above SOTU, PTA, Exciter for me. It works without retro stale or to be cheap, I have the impression that some synths in the last 30 years ever to have met and totzdem everything is very different from the other albums!
After SOTU I had the impression that men can / do not want to really. There are many songs seemed Mostly completed and executed claps. Something was missing.
That's not the case here. A consistently good album has been created here, also CD2 also has some great songs. Wait 4 years has paid off! In addition, the price for the Deluxe Edition is worth every penny. The whole thing comes in a book style, auflappbar, with some photos, text and, of course, the CDs. A buddy's kept smooth for a Depeche Mode book! -D
A note to some 1 Star reviewers: There are actually some scribblers who confess to have heard the album only as an online stream and then also still pleased to have saved money because they now do not buy the album. Yes people, saving money is one thing. But a CD click through briefly online, even at reduced sound quality, and then allow an opinion or a review ??? Which is low and only worth a star! Have done!
