Who held the band over the decades, the loyalty, really can now be described as suffering tested. Since the band in 1983 with "Heads or Tales" ushered in the shift away from its magical Storyteller ProgRock, there were some harsh low blows put away as the 87 AOR concoction "Wildest Dreams", which was to the American market to crack it or even "Pleasure in Pain "that the tape 10 years later showed on the top of disorientation. Apart from bright spots like the "Beginners Guide ..." or "Generation 13", an ingenious concept album that a new creative era of the band could take if it were not flopped mercilessly, there were by the end of the 90 little consolation Hope for loyal fans. With the half-baked "Full Circle" I had the band really ticked off, to me the strong new CD "20/20", with the returning Michael Sadler, fell into the hands. This became curious, I've bought the remaining albums of the last 10 years, and have gone back again in Saga-sky. Showed the shape curve with "House of Cards", "Marathon" and "Network" already clearly upward, succeeded the "guys" with "Trust" In 2006, finally a completely worth listening work. However, the increase is the ultimaitve a year later following 10,000 Days. Here the band manages to perfection, the classical elements of their first 4 albums with modern sound and (finally) to mate rousing songwriting. Whether it's the rocking entry song "Lifeline", the slightly folkloric "Sideways" or the almost dream-theatereske Instrumental "Corkentellis" - squints you realize that the band again properly has fun with their music and not (only) on the Charts , In this context, work itself both Softies the album "More then I deserve" or "10,000 Days". In this sense: welcome back Michael and on the next 10,000!
