I waited greedily enjoy this book which the action takes place in Venice and whose recent work intended to follow in the footsteps of this city commissioner Brunetti. I expected to salivate before new routes away from breaking crowds inexorably mired in the same trip from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto for the benefit of the stores located on this course and fake bags sellers. I probably expected too much from this book: I was disappointed. Certainly, the psychological analysis of this conductor who sometimes seems a caricature is not devoid of interest; Certainly, the diva is not sad. There are somewhere in the rhythm of Simenon ... but worse aloi.L'intrigue is diluted without real suspense. As for the discovery of Venice .... There I found some routes already parcourrus but no real surprise. The walk along the Giudecca nothing particularly remarkable. It is true that we are not meeting tourists. We meet especially true lovers of Venice who take the time to look at the city from another perspective. As for the rear nickname Nazi background with a blur past the conductor, I tend to find classic if not easier this presentation that generates no real surprise. And what about this magical place is La Fenice. I was expecting a surprising journey in this beautiful place that deserves a visit even for a walk with the commissioner Brunetti in the neighborhood that surrounds this magical place. Nothing. I was expecting probably too much of the book. I had no doubt rejoiced too soon surprises that I would find out inevitably. I have experienced no enthusiasm. It is true that this is the first book by this author. I bought two others I began reading. I hope that 'the glass city' does not lead me to the same disappointment.
