The 17er 1.8 is no exception lens like the 75er, but a solid player in the MFT field. The 20er Panasonic pancake is slightly sharper, crisper Out of Cam brings but due to the harsh contrast tuning lights very early to pull out. Add to this a very leisurely autofocus which makes 20 opposite the new 17er only second choice. The 17er is harmonious, rapidly and simply sexy. With his point of view, it is the ideal "human context" lens and for this purpose a kind of always on it. It completes the triad 25er Leica (Panasonic), 45er and 75er Olympus from down without making the 25er obsolete. Together with an OM-D and one or two flashes FL-R gets you a photo equipment that fits in a small camera bag and stands up to abuse. Have already shot several weddings, events and portraits with this combination and everyone was satisfied. Only sometimes I wish back the bigger free parking potential of small picture. However, I never need the imgrunde on events is the greater depth of field of MFT even beneficial and at the end I will go no rolling suitcases through the area.
